THE ANCIENT YOGA TAUGHT BY THE LORD OF YOGIS

Image
  When we look around and study the lives of people, we observe that the largest masses of people in the world are in search of God. No other being is sought after or remembered in this manner. It implies that God is the most sought-after personality in the world. But, the irony of all these is that nobody knows who is God. God observes that He comes down to the level of human beings to communicate the truth. It cannot be done in a proxy way. He does not come in the birth and death cycle. He has to descend into the body of an ordinary human being, who is later named as Prajapita Brahma. He is speaking through the mouth-organ of Brahma. More than ten lakh people attend the sermons of God. The unprecedented, positive transformation in their life is an eye-opener to this fact. He is teaching the souls easy (Sahaj) Rajyoga, the method to remember Him, thereby revealing the truth that He is the Supreme Father of all souls of all religions. This revelation and the consequential personal ...

INDIA- US RELATION

2020 US Elections Following the eventful US Presidential elections in November 2020, Joseph Biden, the Democratic Party nominee Joseph Biden has become the new President of America with effect from 20 January 2021. It was one of the most contested elections in US history, where Republican nominee and incumbent President Donald Trump refused to concede defeat to his democratic rival, in spite of transparent election process.  Initially, he challenged the election results in different provincial courts but got no relief. Finally, when the US Congress was certifying the victory of Biden on 6 January 2021, he held a massive rally of his supporters in Washington and exhorted them to move to Capitol Hill (The seat of US Congress) to overturn the ongoing certifying process in the joint meeting of the two Houses on the same day. Thousands of Trump supporters and Republican Party members marched to the Capitol Hill and stormed the ongoing Congress meeting. The mob became violent and five pe...

The Art of Removing and Creating Habits {part-2}

Image
Peace & Compassion In part-1, DAAJI introduced us to ways to change our behavior patterns and habits according to the wisdom and practices of Yoga – traditionally known as the Yamas and Niyamas. In this part, he focuses on the first Yama, known as ahimsa or non-violence. In the field where PEACE prevails It fascinates me to read some of our ancient texts and realize that the wise people of those times understood human nature so well. For example, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras are just as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago. Does that mean humanity is still at the same level of evolution as it was during Patanjali's times? Patanjali starts his treatise on the eight limbs of Yoga with the Yamas, and the very first Yama is ahimsa , which means cultivating the habit of non-violence. If you reflect on that for a moment – that the first step in Yoga is to remove violence, aggression, and any other habits that hurt other living beings, from our nature – you will realize tha...

World Bank on Himalayan glacier melt

To Slow Himalayan Glacier Melt, Curbing Air Pollution is Key- WORLD BANK   Black carbon deposits originating from factories, cooking, and vehicles are compounding the effects of climate change to speed up the melting of the Himalayan glaciers. More aggressively curbing black carbon emissions can slow glacier melt and improve the security of water resources in the region, according to a new World Bank report. Current policies in place to reduce black carbon emissions – through enhancing fuel-efficiency standards, phasing out diesel vehicles and promoting electric cars – while laudable, will still reduce black carbon deposits by only 23 percent, not enough to prevent an acceleration of water releases from glacier melt in the region, according to  Glaciers of the Himalayas: Climate Change, Black Carbon and Regional Resilience.  However, new economically and technically feasible policies are within reach to contain glacier melt at current levels. For example, improving the ef...
